The Inspiration: Liv Tyler in Empire Records

"The time to hesitate is through."

Ever experience that horrible feeling of complete lack of creativity?

It's not a good feeling, but it happens. And when it happens, I turn to Corey Mason (Liv Tyler) from Empire Records (1995).

School Girl Grunge is a look that encapsulates apathy.

Style checklist for today (and probably tomorrow):
  • Fluffy sweater
  • Plaid skirt
  • Doc Martens.

Simple and effortlessly cool.

The Inspiration: The Craft

The older I get, the more I want to dress like a Catholic high-school witch.

Remember those days when you didn't really care about getting good grades or making money to pay rent? Or brushing your hair?

Yeah, me neither. Those days seem too far away at the moment.

That's why I think I'm going to start channeling the girls from The Craft (1996) for a while. They embody the perfect combination of teenage rebellion, 90's Grunge, and Goth.

Essentials include:
  • Doc Martens.
  • Pleated skirt.
  • White shirt.
  • Parka.
  • Book of Wicca.
  • Damn, I don't have a parka.
I miss Neve Campbell.
