The only thing that'll help mend a broken heart is focusing on the positive.
It's always devastating when a beloved celebrity passes away before their time, but it's particularly heart-wrenching when said celebrity is someone you've been following in a series of films for over a decade.
It should be known that I have been an obsessive fan of The Fast and the Furious films since I was little, and have always held a special place in my heart for Brian O'Connor / Paul Walker. He will be dearly missed.
In remembrance of the beautiful Paul Walker, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the films he was most known for and look back at Brian's style evolution.
These films are actually quite funny in terms of style. Men and women appear to be polar-opposites when it comes to clothing, as the women are often hyper-sexualised, whereas the men rock about in jeans and baggy t-shirts (with the exception of Dom/Vin Diesel and Letty/Michelle Rodriguez).
In the first and second films, The Fast and the Furious (2001) and 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003), Brian's uniform of choice tends to steer towards the super laid-back approach. However, it wasn't until the fourth film, Fast & Furious (2009), that his style matured, at least as much as it could. In these last three films, we saw Brian at his best, still wearing jeans and t-shirts, but also bringing out the suave button-up shirts.
Fast & Furious 7 was originally going to be released in the summer of 2014, but now, who knows what will happen? Hopefully they will still be able to release the film in Paul Walker's memory.
It will be a very bittersweet experience to watch.
R.I.P. Paul Walker.
